Detailed Information: Golden Retriever

It is a large sized, strongly built with a dense and water repellent wavy coats. It is one of the most popular breeds in US. These breeds are often known as family pets and due to their higher intelligence as are used in sporting. They excel at retrieving with hunters, sniffing out drugs and tracking. They are also natural athletes and can participate actively in sports. They are quite similar to Labrador Retriever.

GENERAL APPEARANCE

As indicated by their name, their coats occurs in light to dark golden colors. Topcoat is water- resistant and wavy. The American Kennel Club Standard states that the Golden Retriever is, “A symmetrical, powerful, active dog, sound and well put together, not clumsy nor long in the leg, displaying a kindly expression and possessing a personality that is eager, alert and self-confident.”

Basically, they are popular for their well- proportionate body and medium-length. They have wide heads but tapering muzzles with black nose, brown eyes and pendant ears.

Body size and weight: Males are 22-24 inches heights and female are 20-22 inches and body weight ranges from 25- 35kg. They are 1 foot 9 inches to 2 feet tall at the shoulder.

Fully Grown:

Male: 29-34 kg

Female: 25-29 kg
