Detailed Information: Yorkshire Terrier

It is a small dog breed of terrier-type which was developed in 19th century in Yorkshire, England. Ideally, its weight is not more than 7 pounds ( 3.2 kg) and was originally used to catch the rats in clothing mills. Basically we can see them gray, black and tan coat. Despite of small size, Terriers are  quite big regarding their personality and due to suitability to apartment living hence the good companion of humans.

GENERAL APPEARANCE

They look small in size with long  and silky hairs  along with well proportionate compact bodies. Head is naturally flat with medium-sized muzzle. Dark  bright eyes with dark rims, small and erected  triangular ears are some traits of Yorkie. The average height of terrier is 7.5 inches at the shoulder.

Body size and weight:  Body weight ranges  4 to 7 pounds. They are 8 to 9 inches tall at the shoulder.

Fully Grown:

               Male: 5 to 7 pounds

               Female: 4 to 6 pounds
