Detailed Information: Japanese Spitz

Japanese Spitz is a medium-sized companion dog. They were developed in Japan in 1920s  and are  well renowned as active family dogs.  They are not only famous for their courage, affection, loyalty and activeness but also as a  good companion among  older people and younger children. Spitz is the  first dog which was preferred to stay with human’s intimacy in history.

GENERAL APPEARANCE

It is a small dog  13 inches at withers, with square body, deep chest,  and very thick  mostly in pure white  double coat. Having a wedged-shaped face, they share the common resemblance with white Pomeranian, Samoyed and American Eskimo dogs. Spitz are the descendants of larger German Spitz dogs. It has a pointed muzzle and small triangular prick ears with a curled tail and long fur lying on its back.

Body size and weight:  They are 12-15 inches in heights and body weight ranges from 5-10 kg.

 Fully Grown:

               Male: 7-10 kg

               Female: 8-10 kg
