Akita is a large breed of dogs which was originated in northern parts of Japan. It has a noble and intimidating presence. They are courageous to face challenges and do not frighten easily. Normally, there are two main varieties of Akita: Japanese strain called Akita Inu and American strain known as American Akita or simply Akita. Japanese strain comes with narrow palette of colors while American one with almost all colors.
